Here are some key tips to having
a successful fundraiser:
Choose two
coordinators
Two people is all it takes to lead a successful fundraiser. They
should be motivated and good team leaders. They must be available
for the entire day that portraits are taken, as well as the day
the portraits are viewed. Coordinators typically find it rewarding
to
watch their contribution benefit the entire organization. They
are also nicely rewarded with a complete, complementary portrait
package
valued at up to $139.
Coordinators lead volunteers
Your coordinators will receive all the materials and guidance necessary
to implement a successful fundraiser. They will work with volunteers
within your organization to promote your fundraising program to
their friends, family and members of their community. Coordinators
should
encourage volunteers to try to sell ten certificates in order to
receive their own complementary portrait package, a value of up
to $139.95. If your organization has ten members who sell ten certificates
each, your organization will raise $1,000 just from certificates
sales alone! (10x10x$10, plus an unbeatable cash bonus based on
the
number of certificates actually photographed.) Most volunteers
will find it easy to sell 10 certificates just to their friends
and family.
Studio quality portraits sell themselves
Everyone loves beautiful, professionally rendered portraits, especially
when they represent exceptional value. The fact that patrons in
your community will be raising funds for a worthwhile cause makes
the
proposition all the more appealing. For Classic Family Portraits,
Classic Pictorial Directories, and Classic Directory/Fundraisers,
we photograph:
1. Parent(s) and children
2. Parent(s) and married children
3. Legal guardian and children
4. Engaged couples
5. Grandparents and grandchildren
6. Family and pet
7. Any person 21 years of age or older and self-supporting
Sample
portraits sell certificates; emphasize their value
People are always impressed with the quality of our sample portraits
and they are amazed by the low cost of certificates. Volunteers
should show these samples to potential patrons. Stress that portraits
are
a keepsake they will treasure for years to come, and how infrequently
most families find the time to make new ones.
